Between 1931 and 1934 the Chris~Craft Corp built 28
of these hulls. Although several cabin arrangements were offered, research has indicated that this was the only style ever
built. This model is one of four known to have EVER been built. The original boats were offered for sale for $6,645
to $10,500 depending on engines, etc. Buyers were offered a choice of Chrysler engines producing speeds of 15MPH to 33MPH.
They came equipped with refrigerator, full furnished galley, dinner table, linen, curtains, and rated for 16 passengers.
Research has indicated that these were the first Chris Craft Cabin cruisers targeted to individual (not corporate) buyers.
The model was built from scratch using catalogs from 1931 1934, available plans obtained from the Chris~Craft museum
in Newport News, Virginia, and photos supplied by Christopher Smith (Grandson of Christopher Smith, original founder of Chris~Craft)
from his private collection. Every effort was taken to insure accuracy and detail. The model measures 36 length by 10 ½
wide and is at a scale of 1=1, is mounted on a mahogany stained base is supported by four 5/8 acrylic rods for better viewing
with two raised brass name plates. All parts were fabricated by the builder. One of these models is available for sale now.
